Windows Home Server – Recovery

I have been using my HP MediaSmart Home server for quite some time now (around 2 years).  Up until last week, I had my first hard drive failure that was being backed up to WHS.  It was a Windows XP machine with and IDE hard drive.  The main issue I ran into, was the recovery cd would load, connect to home server, but would fail on recovering the backup.  So I used the second option and took the new hard drive to another working computer.  From there, it reconized the hard drive and I chose which backup I wanted and all worked fine from there.  Hats off to Microsoft for their great software, besides the little bug I mentioned at the begining of this post.
